Bummer! That can happen, but to be honest sometimes it's best to take a few cues from the Universe. I usually keep several backups, and test thoroughly to make sure i didn't screw myself before saving them. Can be good to put them in .zip or .rar archives, too. And also to have one or two online just in case SHTF.
this project looked a lot like the one before it "Young Magic", so maybe it is time for something fresh. Your art is great, though, don't give up!

Yeahh, thanks for the support man, I somehow managed to recover the majority of the project and managed to splice work together and I now brought it back to where it was aha, so hopefully I'll be able to finish it in a few months.
And yes, I genuinely agree this is alot like my previous project, I think this one for me was trying to expand on "young magic" because after the release I felt like I had learnt so much in the actual production that by the time I'd finished the game I wasn't even happy with the product. But I think it will be interesting to see what I make next, possibly in a completely new direction, who knows :)
